Liberation

Always exhilarating, always uplifting, the Dutch people celebrate their annual Liberation Day on 5th May to honor the great moment which represents the end of the occupation by Nazi German during World World War II. Proudly speaking, Wageningen deserves the most cheers and celebration as it held the agreement marking this historical moment by Canadian General Charles Foulkes and German Commander-in-Chief Johannes Blaskowitz on 5th May 1945.
